Appointments & Scheduling

New Patients Are Always Welcome!

All appointments are scheduled in advance with Dr. Tuchler by calling the office at 303 830-7200 or email Amanda at amanda@drtuchler.com

Cancellation policy

If you are unable to keep an appointment, we ask that you kindly provide us with at least 48 hours notice. This courtesy on your part will make it possible us to give your time to another patient on our waiting list.

Payment Options

Cosmetic Patients:

Cosmetic surgery is not covered by health insurance and will require payment in advance by the patient. Consultation fees are payable at the time of your visit. Our fees for cosmetic surgery consultations are $50. We require full payment of the surgeon's fee two weeks prior to surgery. The surgical fee includes all postop visits related to that particular surgery. It does not include office visits for unrelated procedures.

Itemized quotes for surgery, anesthesia, surgical assistant and operating facilities will be provided. The fees for anesthesia and the facility where surgery is performed are paid directly to them. Our office staff will coordinate this and direct the patient.

We understand that a situation may arise that could force you to postpone your surgery. We request your courtesy in notifying us as soon as possible as changes affect not only the surgeon and other patients, but the hospital and anesthesiologist as well.

We Accept:

  • Cash
  • Check
  • Mastercard
  • Visa
  • Financing available through Capital One
Pre-apply online or call toll free 1-877-559-5050 to see if you qualify.

Refunds:

If you need to re-schedule surgery, all fees paid will be applied to the new surgery date. If however, you cancel surgery less than 7 business days before surgery and do not reschedule within 3 months, we will refund your payment minus a 10% administrative fee.

Will insurance pay for any part of my surgery?

Insurance Cases

Our practice does everything we can to facilitate those in need of reconstructive plastic surgery. We are enrolled with most insurance plans, including Medicare and Medicaid. Please check with your plan to confirm our participation and to see if a referral is necessary. Reconstructive surgery is generally covered by most health insurance plans, although coverage for specific procedures may vary greatly. Patients requesting reconstructive procedures must be prepared to cover the costs of surgery if insurance fails to reimburse us. Anticipated costs will be outlined prior to scheduling surgery.

Please note, your insurance is a contract between you, your employer and the insurance company, our relationship is with you, not your insurance company:

  • Patients covered under managed care plans (HMO/PPO/EPO's) are responsible for complying with their insurance rules regarding referrals from primary care physicians to see specialists.
  • Failure to comply with your insurance requirements will make it necessary for us to bill you directly for charges incurred during a non-referred, non-covered visit.
  • We will file and process claims for insurance companies we have contracts with. Otherwise, payment is expected at time of service. Upon request a copy of the bill will be furnished to you for insurance claim filing.
  • Co-payments are required to be paid at the time of service.
  • You are responsible for deductibles, co-insurance's, and services or procedures not covered by your insurance company.

Cosmetic Revision Policy

If a complication or technical problem occurs within a year of the day of surgery I do not charge a surgeon's fee for revision surgery. The patient is responsible for the all other costs including anesthesia, hospitalization or operating room time, supplies or new implants. After one year a surgeon's fee will be charged- to the amount will be determined on a case by case basis.

Important exception- if a breast augmentation patient decides she wants bigger implants she will have to pay a surgeon's fee in addition to all of the other costs even in the first year.

Also: Mentor & Inamed have limited warrantees on breast implants- they will replace ruptured/deflated implants for life (if no obvious cause of leak) and will pay for some of the surgical expense for five or ten years depending on policy/manufacturer. Read these policies for details before surgery.

Cosmetic Surgery Fees*

All prices are in US dollars and include only the surgical fee for Dr. Tuchler. They do not include charges for the operating facility, anesthesia, surgical assistant, supplies, implants, overnight stay, etc. These will be clearly outlined at your consultation. Additional state and local taxes may also apply. Other surgeon's fees will differ. The American Society of Plastic Surgeons has a complete list of average national fees in the United States. Please note that they also vary widely by geographic region.
