Doctor Robert Tuchler was born in Brooklyn, New York and raised on Long Island. He attended the State University of New York at Stony Brook on a Regents scholarship and received a B.S. in biological sciences. He then received his M.D. degree from the Health Sciences Center at the State University of New York at Stony Brook.
He did his internship and general surgery residency at Maimonides Medical Center in New York. There, he was named best teacher and chief resident of the year. Before leaving New York he completed a two-year research fellowship at the prestigious Institute for Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery of New York University. Dr. Tuchler became board certified in surgery in 1993. He then traveled to Houston for training in plastic surgery at Baylor College of Medicine. Afterwards, he did an additional fellowship in hand surgery at Baylor.
Upon the completion of his training in 1995, he came to Denver to engage in the private practice of plastic surgery. Becoming certified in general, plastic and hand surgery. He achieved triple board certification, a rare and difficult achievement. Dr. Tuchler is an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
He performs a broad range of cosmetic and reconstructive procedures.
